Established on September 1, 1905, Saskatchewan holds some of the richest and most fertile soil in Canada giving it the name "Canada's Bread Basket" it produces over half of the nations wheat crop.
Saskatchewan not only consists of vast farm lands but the land holds over 100 000 lakes, rivers and streams as well as Canada sunniest city, Estevan. Saskatchewan is also home to Canada's only training academy for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, in Regina, and the highest point on mainland Canada between the Rockies and Labrador, rising a staggering 600 meters above the prairie.
